GM/BMW Engine Swap Mounts

Being an active member in the classic BMW car community I often hear about what people would like to see in the market for older BMW cars. And being a mechanical engineer I always start imagining solutions for peoples problems and designs for products they would like to have in the their cars. One of the products that a lot of people wanted was mounts to install a V8 engine into their E30s. The E30s came with 126 hp inline 6 engines from the factory but for some that simply doesnt cut it, and I get it. So I created mounts to replace the inline 6 BMW engine with a General Motors LS1 V8 which is rated at 345hp and only weighs about 60 lbs more than the BMW engine. I used SolidWorks to design the brackets and run FEA. I then used Autodesk Fusion 360 to create a G-Code to machine the parts myself. I provided the parts unwelded to the customer so he could set the engine precisely in place and the tack weld the brackets.
